Welcome to the home page of Mukana Marimba! We’re Olympia, Washington’s only Zimbabwean-style marimba band. With a full set of seven marimbas—from medium-sized sopranos to a huge bass—we play energetic and joyful music, primarily from the tradition of the Shona people of Zimbabwe, Africa. Great for dancing or just lifting your spirits!

We play at dances, parties, festivals, concerts, and special events. Please sign up for our email bulletin, and if you need a band, please get in touch. We’d love to play for you. To tell the truth, we just love to play!
