Here are the technical requirements for performances of Mukana Marimba.
Space. When playing as a full band, we have eight members playing seven marimbas of various sizes plus shakers. This requires a space of about 14 x 18 feet.
Amplification. Our instruments are acoustically amplified and very loud on their own, so normally they don’t need electronic amplification. But we do need one mike in front for talking to the audience.
